Customer Executive. Triathlete. Team Player.
Originally from England, Matthew joined TP Aerospace in 2023 and is now part of the Copenhagen-based Customer Executive team, supporting EMEA Program customers with their daily operations. With a team of five in Copenhagen and colleagues around the world, Matthew plays a key role in keeping TP Aerospace’s customers flying.
“As a CE [Customer Executive], my main role is to manage the daily operations for our customers, ensuring smooth running of our contracts and managing the orders and replenishing wheels and brakes”, Matthew explains about his daily task.
The job doesn’t stop there. “Once the shipments are done, then it’s about tidying up and making sure that we’re getting the unserviceable cores returned to us and ensuring that all paperwork is in order”.
Each Customer Executive manages around ten Program customers. For Matthew, that includes Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) – one of TP Aerospace’s biggest long-term Program customers. “It’s nice to keep them [customers] flying,” he says with a smile.
Matthew is part of a tight-knit team in Copenhagen, where individuality shines through and team spirit runs high. “It’s a really good team spirit,” he says. “We’re quite a social team which is nice”.
When asked what stands out most about TP Aerospace, Matthew doesn’t hesitate: Excellence and reliability.
“People who have been at the MRO [shows] say that everyone knows that the green color is TP – and the strong company values of excellence and reliability towards our customers”.
Before joining TP Aerospace, Matthew lived in Lanzarote, Spain, working as a bike guide and running instructor. Surrounded by elite athletes, he caught the competitive bug and began racing himself.
“I like to strive to be as good as I can be and that carries across into my sport very well, and the reliability and consistency is what it takes to get to the top”.
The same drive fuels his work at TP Aerospace. As a coach to other athletes, Matthew brings his mentoring mindset into the office too. Walking past the Customer Executives, a picture of Matthew mid-race hangs near the Customer Executive desks, alongside a quote.
“I’m also a coach for some other athletes, so yeah, I have some small quotes and mantras to keep us focused and strive to be as good as we can be”.
In the past three years, Matthew has taken his passion to the next level and competing as a professional athlete and proudly becoming TP Aerospace’s first sponsored athlete.
